Professional Engagement covers how educators conduct themselves as professionals: acting ethically, committing to ongoing learning and reflection, and working effectively with colleagues, families, schools and the community. It recognises that quality OSHC relies on strong relationships and a workforce that keeps building its practice.
What are the Standards?
Standard 5 describes the professional and ethical conduct expected of OSHC educators, along with ongoing professional learning, critical reflection, and effective relationships with colleagues, families, schools and the wider community. It recognises professionalism as central to the trust families place in OSHC services, whatever an educator’s role or hours.
